Batangas – Puerto Galera Crossing

There are numerous ferry services providing transportation from Batangas Port to Puerto Galera. In the morning there are several sailings every hour. The body of water that lies between Luzon and the island of Mindoro is known as the Verde Island Passage and is so called because of Verde Island which sits in the center of the channel midway between Batangas and Puerto Galera. The ferries which make the crossing are large, well-equipped vessels manned by well-trained crews and complete with a full complement of life jackets.

Crossing on a ferry generally takes about 1 hour and 30 mins. In addition to the some ferries available there is also the RoRo which, in addition to vehicles also carries passengers. The RoRo is a slower vessel which takes 1 hour and 30 mins to 2 hours to complete the crossing.
